Pet-n-Sur Rewards - Website Terms & Conditions (New Zealand)

These Terms apply to purchases made through Pet-n-Sur Rewards at https://www.petnsur.co.nz/rewards/ (the Website). The Website is operated by Beneficial Insurance Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or purchase from us.


New Zealand consumer rights

If you buy products for personal or household use, you may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), including remedies if goods are faulty, unsafe, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under the CGA or the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).


Eligibility for discounted Rewards pricing (Pet-n-Sur clients via the Client Portal)

Discounted Rewards pricing is available only to current Pet-n-Sur clients with an active policy who access the Rewards store via their Pet-n-Sur Client Portal.

  • Verification: We may verify eligibility (for example, by confirming the session or token created when you enter via the Client Portal, or other reasonable checks).
  • Active policy required: You must have an active Pet-n-Sur policy at the time of purchase to receive discounted Rewards pricing.
  • If eligibility can’t be confirmed: We may (at our option) (a) charge the standard non-discounted price shown on the Website, (b) contact you to reconfirm, or (c) cancel the order and refund any amounts paid.

Products, descriptions, and availability

  • We aim to ensure product descriptions, images and specifications are accurate. However, product details and packaging may change from time to time.
  • All products are subject to availability. We may limit quantities or cancel orders if stock is unavailable.

Pricing and GST

  • All prices are displayed in NZD and are GST inclusive.
  • Shipping charges (and any rural delivery surcharge) will be shown at checkout before you pay.
  • If a pricing error occurs and it is obvious, we may cancel the order and refund you, or contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price.

Payment

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payments are processed via secure third-party payment providers. You authorise us (and our providers) to charge the total shown at checkout.


Orders and cancellations

  • An order is placed when you complete checkout and payment is authorised.
  • We may cancel/refuse an order where reasonable (e.g., stock errors, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions, or system errors). If we cancel after payment, we will refund you.

Delivery and shipping

  • We deliver to addresses within New Zealand only.
  • Delivery timeframes are estimates only.
  • Please ensure your delivery address is correct. If a parcel is returned due to incorrect details, you’ll need to pay any re-delivery costs before we can resend the item(s) to your updated address.
  • If you request Authority to Leave (delivery without signature), you accept the risk once the courier records delivery at the nominated address.

Risk and title

Title to products passes when we receive full payment. Risk generally passes on delivery to your nominated address (subject to any non-excludable consumer rights).


Pet safety and product suitability

Product information on our Website is general only and is not veterinary advice. Always read labels and instructions before use. You are responsible for selecting products suitable for your pet and supervising use where appropriate.


Promotions and discount codes

Promotions may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn at any time (subject to law). Discount codes must be used at checkout and cannot usually be applied after an order is placed.



Returns & Refunds Policy (NZ)


Change-of-mind returns (Not available)

We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit if you change your mind.This includes (without limitation): ordering the wrong item, no longer needing it, or finding it cheaper elsewhere. NZ guidance is that retailers are generally not required to provide a remedy for change-of-mind returns. 


Important: This does not affect your rights under the CGA if an item is faulty, unsafe, not as described, or otherwise fails to meet consumer guarantees.


Faulty, unsafe, damaged, or incorrect items (CGA remedies)

If a product is faulty/unsafe, not as described, or not fit for purpose, we will provide a remedy in line with the CGA.

  • If the problem is minor and can be fixed, the retailer can choose to repair, replace, or refund within a reasonable time.
  • If the problem is substantial (or can’t be fixed within a reasonable time), you may be entitled to reject the goods and choose a refund or replacement.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect

Please email marketing@beneficial.co.nz within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • your order number
  • what’s wrong (damaged/incorrect item)
  • clear photos of the item and packaging (recommended)

Please keep the product’s original packaging and any courier packaging (e.g., satchels, boxes, labels) until the issue is resolved, as the courier may need it for assessment.


How to request a return (faulty/incorrect only)

Email marketing@beneficial.co.nz with:

  • order number
  • item(s) affected
  • description of the issue
  • photos (recommended)

We will provide return instructions. Please don’t send items back until you’ve received our return directions (including courier instructions), as parcels may be lost or delayed otherwise. Return courier costs may be the client’s responsibility.


Refunds (timing and method)

  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
  • We aim to process refunds within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item (or after we confirm the remedy without needing a return), subject to bank/payment processing times.


Privacy, Web use and governing law (NZ)


Privacy

We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020 (including the information privacy principles).


Website use and intellectual property

Website content is owned by us or licensed to us and may not be copied or reused without permission. You must not misuse the Website (for example, introducing malware or attempting unauthorised access).


Liability (to the extent permitted by law)

We are not responsible for delays or failures outside our reasonable control (for example, courier disruptions). Where the law says certain rights cannot be excluded (including the CGA), those rights continue to apply.


Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by publishing an updated version on the Website. Changes apply from the effective date shown above.


Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
